I didn’t start BridgeOurYouth because life was easy. I started it because I survived what many don’t.

There were moments in my life when I questioned whether I even wanted to live. I remember being in a hospital room, barely able to hear. My ears faded in and out as doctors shouted, “How is he still alive?” and “He’s losing too much blood.” Those seconds felt like eternity.

I’ve battled mental health challenges, homelessness, and grew up in the foster care system — shuffled from place to place until the system had nothing left for me. I was abused in ways no child should ever experience. And when there was no more room, no more help, I was thrown into the streets.

No safety net. No family. No support. No one to call.
But somehow, I’m still here.

This organization was born from that pain.
Built on faith, purpose, and an unshakable promise — that no young person should ever feel alone, forgotten, or unsupported.

BridgeOurYouth exists to put every person in a winning position, no matter where they come from. It’s for the ones who’ve been told they wouldn’t make it — the misunderstood, the broken, the discarded.
